Artist Statement from Armando Alvarez

Living so close and having seen Ciudad Juarez in it's better days, it is hard to ignore the horror that floods the land south of us. Many of us would like to help, but don't know how. 

So what is the solution? Blood? Love? It is hard to imagine a peaceful retreat from the violent monsters that swarm Mexico. It is also hard to imagine the government engaging in what may be called a civil war, to overrun corruption and drug cartel violence. 

One thing is for sure. Peace or war seem to be the only options to end the chaos.
